This Is Blues Country Download
“This is Blues Country Download – Classic Country Songs in Blues Style” Jimmie’s newest album is a compilation of some of Jimmie’s favorite country songs from the ’50s & ’60s. Here’s what Jimmie wrote in the liner notes.
“Get around the Bratcher family and you will hear country music. Growing up that’s all my folks Pete & Margie listened to and as much as I hate to admit it, somehow it got inside of me. My first concert was Patsy Cline’s last live performance. At the age of fourteen, my album collection was Axis Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix and Live at Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash. But I’m a blues-rock player and playing country songs just wouldn’t fit into my setlist, until now!
This is Blues Country is a collection of some of my favorite classic, country songs arranged in a blues-rock style. On most of the songs, I tried to stay true to the original melodies. And it would make me so happy if you would listen to the original artists and their arrangements first before you listen to mine. I love these songs and I am so excited to present them to you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed recording and performing them…. Jimmie”
