Granny paid for our divorce - I love happy endings! Do you like happy endings? If I go to a movie and it doesn’t have a happy ending, I will go to the ticket counter and ask for a refund. I am not going to pay for a movie with a sad ending. Someone else might, but not me. Right now, all of us are working, building toward our own happy ending. It’s being written, moment by moment, breath by breath, decision by decision. The great thing about the story is that it’s yours. You get to choose how the story goes and how it ends.

So why not choose a happy ending?

Our desire in writing our story is that you may know that it doesn’t matter where you start. Our hope in writing our story is that something that we say will inspire you. That something in our story will give you the faith and hope to face the chaos and confusion in your own life, make wise choices and start re-writing your own story.

Granny Paid for our Divorce

Meet the "Trailer Queen" and the "Wannabe Rock Star" - Jimmie & Sherri Bratcher. Teenagers caught up in drugs, alcohol, sex and all the self-destructive chaos in the 1960's.  An unintended pregnancy leads to a courthouse wedding and two nineteen year olds living in their parents' basement with no money, no job and no end to the conflict.

Amidst the substance use, constant chaos and conflict that escalated to physical abuse. Jimmie's granny gave them money to end the marriage, before the marriage ended one of them. Now you know that your marriage is jacked up when Granny is willing to pay for the divorce!  But that's just the beginning of the story!
